Ken has been a Technical Project and Program Manager for over 17 years both domestically and internationally.  Mr. Almond has provided PM services to multiple agencies with the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, FEMA and many local and state agencies.  He has managed software and hardware projects, prototype design for UAV based and ground-based mesh networks.  Over his extensive career he has managed programs valued at $34M+ with teams of 200+ members from companies, universities, national laboratories, and government agencies.  He is well versed in process development and project recovery and rescue.  Mr. Almond has spent many years managing the C4I System of System Operability Test onboard the Navy’s CVNs, LHDs, LHAs, and LCC platforms.  He is currently managing the transition of the Military Sealift Command’s network operation center from San Diego California to Wahiawa Hawaii.  This NOC will provide network fleet services to the whole of the MSC fleet.  Mr. Almond developed and taught Project Management Fundamentals at the California State University at San Marcos.  His PM curriculum has been used to teach project management to transitioning veterans via the REBOOT Workshops provided by NVTSI.
